Prevents Chip Pan Fires

       AntiFlame Active Alarm System

AntiFlame - The background

The Fire Service are called out to 600,000 fires every year
Fires cause 800 deaths and 17000 injuries annually
Fires resulted in Insurance Claims exceeding £800m in 2008
Buildings fitted with alarms reduce death or serious injury incidence by 50%
YET: Alarms are insufficient to prevent many fires taking hold and spreading causing injury, death, costly damage and disruption

Installing a standard alarm or smoke detector saves homes, businesses and lives.
Installing an AntiFlame Active Alarm offers even more protection. It significantly reduces the potential of a fire taking hold, spreading and getting out of control.

A standard fire alarm is a small device usually fitted to a ceiling that incorporates a sensor and an alarm to sound a warning. They can detect the early smouldering stage of a potential fire and trigger an alarm that warns occupants to evacuate to safety or investigate further to contain the fire at its early, least destructive phase. That is all they can do.

The AntiFlame Active Alarm provides enhanced functionality over standard alarms in a new way. Currently alarms only provide an audible warning when the alarm detects smoke, heat, ion particles or CO2. The AntiFlame Active Alarm system can be configured with differing detectors (smoke, ionization, heat, CO2) depending on the requirements at a property and the mains services supplied to it. The problem with existing alarms is they are reliant on being heard and suitable action being taken by the person hearing it. The AntiFlame Active Alarm goes one step further than just supplying the audible warning - It completely shuts off the mains supplies to the property. Removing the ‘fuel’ catalysts restricts the severity, spread, intensity and damage of a fire risk. Without human intervention.
